Tuesday 22nd September: Darius Brubeck in Oxford
Darius will be in conversation with music journalist and author Philip Clark at an event entitled “Take On Five”, which is part of the Oxford Chamber Music Festival 2026. This year’s festival focuses on the American jazz tradition and its lasting influence.
He will also be giving a 15-minute live performance, exploring the timeless jazz structures and improvisational magic that have forged his unique artistic voice.
“Don’t miss this rare intersection of live performance, history and firsthand heritage, embodying the spontaneous connection that led The Observer to praise OCMF for ‘the highest level of music making’”.
The event will be at the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities at 6pm.
